Spring Break

This week was spring break for the kids.  We had lots of fun days, even with the surprising weather.

Monday we spent lots of time at the park and we went back to the park for a picnic dinner.  Very fun day to be outside!

Tuesday we were thinking of going to the zoo, but due to rain and the kids were at the tail end of a cold/cough we headed to Kangaroo Zoo, an indoor place to run, jump and play!  Rachel and Cameron joined in the fun.

Sterling discovered crawling thru the tunnel…oh so exciting!

Calvin up to bat.

Thursday we woke up to quite a surprise…with all the snow it felt more like Christmas than spring break!  What a bizzare storm.

Logan helping Ammon shovel all the snow…at least 6 inches.

A back yard view, oh the poor trees.  We only lost a few branches.

Calvin shoveling paths through the snow.

We spent most of the day inside.  Sterling and Bridget had a great time discovering under the table.  What fun to play peek a boo.

After dinner we did venture out and had a snow ball fight!  Dad versus everybody.

Friday was finally a spring like day.  We spent the afternoon at Hogle Zoo.  Sterling enjoyed being outside and Bridget really enjoyed seeing the animals.  I think the penguins were here favorite.

I got one picture before the giraffe stood back up…never knew how a giraffe “bent” down!

Our family.

It was fun to spend the afternoon at the zoo.  Fun to have Rachel, Brian, and Cameron there with us.

Happy times, fun memories!

  1. Looks like tons of fun! Wish we could have been there!! Well, except for that snowy day…yuck! I’m so ready for that to be over! We’ll have to go to Kangaroo Zoo together next time we’re out there…looks exciting! :)

  2. It was quite the spring break week. You had a little bit of everything from the weather. It has been a long winter this year with lots of snow. I know there have been breaks from the snow, but there has been a lot. It was cool here last week, but yesterday we started in with the long hot summer. Last week highs in the mid 60s, and now mid 90s. All the activities that you did looked like a lot of fun.

  3. Spring break looks like tons of fun. Who could do better than snow, zoo, park, and well the cutest ever grandkids to do it with! right? It’s so fun to see that our married kids hang out and enjoy each others families!
