Form and Frames

After some digging, lots of getting things lined up, and some heavy lifting, the form and frames are complete and in position.

10 points to anyone who can guess how much that transom weighs. I measured it on a scale prior to lifting it up onto the form at the back.

Next thing to do, lay down the keel.

  1. It looks like the work is going forward Ammon, and my guess is 76lbs. I think Breez may be a tad over confident on her guess.

  2. Well if those points are taken yet, I’d say the weight was 118 lbs. We love seeing your photos and the progression of the “ark” I won’t worry about it until I see animals lining up in your yard.

  3. The scale said 112 lbs.

“Mom” or more specifically my “Mom”-in-law is the closest.

It was very heavy. My hand hurt for a day after carrying it out of the garage. What was interesting is I had a few people come heft it(lift in place), all of them guessed around 70 lbs.
