Tragedy

Bridget experienced tragedy today.  It is rather humorous (in the past tense), but at the time it was very traumatic.  We went case lot shopping in the morning.  The grocery store gave the 3 kids a balloon on the way out of the store.  Bridget had a fantastic science experiment in mind.  She took hair bows/flowers and clipped the 3 balloons together and thought it would be safe to let the balloons be outside….Oh the tears, the lamenting, the saddness…the balloons and the bows floated gracefully to outer space (or somewhere far away)…”maybe we could build a rocket” she said.  Oh, will we ever learn that Helium is lighter than air?  Not to worry, she has moved on to other exciting adventures.

Bridget adorned with bows from Aunt Lorein.

  1. This is indeed tragic, and I’m sure my girls would have been absolutely devastated…you’ve heard the drama Eloise can produce! :)

Since this did not happen to us and it is over and Bridget survived, I must tell you that I laughed really, really hard. :) Thanks for the story!!

  2. Balloons floating away, now that is a tragedy! Loosing her favorite hair bows double tragedy! Thanks to Lorein’s bows to the rescue!
It was fun to have you come down yesterday. Thanks for all the good meals. It’s fun to have something I didn’t have to think up and fix. How was Logan’s program? He is a cute little man with so much enthusiasm!

  3. Oh how sad, and funny at the same time. Thanks for sharing. Good thing it wasn’t something more difficult to replace :)
