Back to School

Just a few pictures from this week! Sterling is one month old today. Here he is all decked out for Church.

Monday was the first day of School. Kimball is in 3rd grade and Calvin will officially start Kindergarten next week! He is so excited.

Sterling even got dressed for the first day of school. Bridget loves to dress all of her dolls in Sterling’s clothes, so there is competition for the baby outfits!

Check out the gorgeous roses and cute kids!

Our Growing Boy

“Good morning, there is so much to wonder about”

Sterling enjoys a bath with Bridget and Logan attending.  Calvin asked to take pictures!

Sterling went to the doctor today for his 2 week check up.  The PKU test was terrible…he cried so hard he fell asleep (practically passed out).  Later at home it seemed he remembered the event and continued the crying.  It is hard being cute and little!

He is 18 days old.  He is right at 50% on the charts.  He is now 8 lbs 12 oz and 20 1/2 inches long.

Kimball’s Baptism and Sterling’s Blessing Day

Yesterday was a special day for our family! Kimball was baptized by Ammon, confirmed by Grandpa Diether, and Sterling was blessed by Grandpa Rowbury. It was wonderful to have so much family join with us for the eventful occasion. Thank you for being a fabulous family!

Kimball and Ammon before the baptism!

Our “big” family!

Kimball and Sterling, It is your day!

Grandparents, parents and boys.

We truly enjoyed everyone joining us for lunch and visiting afterwards. It was a great day with family. Families are the best.

The Little Mother

So, I have many pictures and it is hard to choose which few to share!  These are the winning pictures of the week…watch for more to come!

Bridget is quite the little mother.  Her dolls are even getting tons of attention.  She can use more diapers on her dolls (and much to my dismay, more diaper medicine) in 10 minutes of alone time than I could ever imagine.  She is quite the little helper with Sterling.  On Friday, I let her give Sterling stroller rides around the house.  Oh what Joy!

All of the kids really love their new brother.  He is 2 weeks old today!

Wild Hearts

Funny story! Last night we had a family movie night. We tried to show the kids Wild Hearts Can’t Be Broken. Kimball and Calvin lasted 30 minutes and were dying to leave…Logan insisted on watching…and Bridget got to go to bed. Well, in the end the boys couldn’t stay away and they kept coming and checking on the movie.

This morning, Logan and Bridget got out the stick horses and set up a course around the living room pretending to ride diving horses as they jumped off the reclined lazy boy. What imagination and some very silly kids.

The faces of Sterling

Just wanted to share some pictures. It has been a great first week with our little baby boy!

Sterling’s first bath was not very fun, so we made it short and sweet!

I finally caught a smile on camera! Sterling was very awake this morning!

The kids adore him. Bridget and Logan love to check on Sterling whenever he is sleeping!

I remembered new babies go through lots of diapers, but I can’t believe how many diapers and clothes we have changed. The dinosaur onesie was the 4th change and it wasn’t even noon! He is super at doing his 3 jobs: eating, sleeping, and pooping!

Kimball’s Birthday Week

Kimball had a birthday celebration all week! Today he turned 8 years old! Today is also my due date…so I was unsure about planning a party, but Kimball wanted a Jedi party with his neighborhood friends.

On Monday we celebrated with the Rowbury cousins.

On Tuesday I took the kids to “Kangaroo Zoo.” A large warehouse room filled with bouncy toys and large slides! They ran and had a great time!

Friday we braved the Jedi party! We took invitations around Thursday night. We had lightsaber battles, pin the lightsaber on Yoda, pass the Deathstar (balloon) to music and then destroy the deathstar, and other games. It was a wild fun time.

And finally today, we went to the city parade and let Kimball open presents from the family.

Happy Birthday Kimball. Side note: as I write, Ammon and I are timing contractions! There is hope of having this baby soon!

Celebrate Freedom

We had a wonderful 4th of July weekend. Spending time with family is the best. We sure love when company comes to visit. The festivities started with Justin and Grandma Diether arriving Wednesday evening. Thank you to all for making our weekend exciting and fun!

The kids favorite activities with their favorite Uncle Justin included wrestling, babies, and diablo.

Grandma and Grandpa Diether, Breezy, Chan, Driel, Evan and Moriah came for the 4th of July. Going out to dinner at Thai Village was delicious and then we enjoyed a small fireworks display. FYI the favorite were parachutes, the “Mach III,” and the glow sticks at the end!

Bridget enjoying mints from Grandma!

Saturday July 5th was an exciting trip to the lake. We had water skiing, hot dogging, swimming, walking the low river, trampoline on land, nice breeze in the shade, and a picnic lunch. The activities and family group made for an excellent day at the lake. (Sorry I forgot my camera, no pictures from me!)

First Haircut

The boys all needed haircuts, so last night was the night for haircuts.  Bridget was feeling quite left out.  Of course she needed a haircut too!  She was so proud to sit on the chair and wear the cape.  This was her first haircut.  I did try to even out the back of her long hair with scissors, but she wanted me to use the clippers.  I ran the clippers above her head and that was ok, but she seemed to understand that it wasn’t real.
