Sunday Visit

Last Sunday we had a fun visit with Driel, Evan, Moriah, Chan and Breeze!  There was quite an array of activities.  Boxing, babies, writing, eating, tree climbing etc.  It was a very enjoyable evening.

Breezy holding Sterling and looking beautiful!

Moriah and Bridget sharing dolls and strollers.  Sharing can be hard at times :)

Evan made the day for Calvin.  They spent lots of time boxing.

Driel enjoying Sterling.  Moriah wasn’t too sure about sharing her mom with a baby.

Bridget gets a hug from Uncle Chan.

Kimball read his stories to Driel.  All the excitement made him need to write another one.  He loves to read and write.

8 Weeks

These pictures are from last Sunday.  It is hard to believe Sterling is 8 weeks old.  I got Sterling dressed for Church and Kimball said something like, “hey, I wore those clothes.”  He was right.  It was fun for Kimball to share the moment with Sterling.

Both boys are a little nervous for the picture.  Sterling gets scared sometimes when the kids want to hold him…Kimball was expecting the crying to start, and it did!

Sterling is focusing intently.  He is liking his hands.

Keel/Stem Part 1

The first part of the keel is up and shaping up nicely.  This would technically be called the stem since it is the forward upward part the keel.

With the help of Kathy, this part went well.  I tried doing a little too much, 4 layers at one time and ended up needing some help.  In the end it turned out pretty good.

7 weeks old

Here is Sterling (Sunday September 7th) at seven weeks old.  He is a little man.  He is a good baby and doing quite well sleeping at night!  I hope it just keeps on getting better.  Most nights he is up once sometimes twice, usually just long enough to eat and be put back down.  Cross my fingers and knock on wood, I want him to keep up the great job!

Sterling is smiling tons and quite cuddly.  The kids are very fond of their baby brother.

Sterling loves being outside.  Stroller rides are great and being held is even better.  With the cooler weather we are spending lots of time outside.  Bridget even figured out how to peddle the trike (it helps that she can reach the peddles now:).

Sterling’s first boat trip

Last Friday we made an evening trip to the lake.  It was the first time we have gone boating since Sterling was born.  He did quite well.  It was tricky getting the life jacket on him since he would just pull his little arms out of the big armholes, but with both Ammon and I working together we got him happily into the life jacket.

There was a little wind  and we have been having cooler nights…so by the time we got out to the middle of the lake it was a chilly outing.  Ammon and Kimball braved jumping in, Calvin slid in one time and Logan put his feet in.  I took care of Sterling and Bridget was the only one to get on the hotdog (just for play, not a ride).

It was fun to be out on the lake, even if it was chilly.  It was not a long trip, but definately a good time!

The boys

The pictures are from last Wednesday.  It has been super busy around here.  Check out what the boys have been up to.

Calvin and Logan helping to pick peaches.  They are not all ripe so we still have lots of peaches to enjoy!

Kimball earned his Bobcat award in Cub Scouts.
