Spring Break

This week was spring break for the kids.  We had lots of fun days, even with the surprising weather.

Monday we spent lots of time at the park and we went back to the park for a picnic dinner.  Very fun day to be outside!

Tuesday we were thinking of going to the zoo, but due to rain and the kids were at the tail end of a cold/cough we headed to Kangaroo Zoo, an indoor place to run, jump and play!  Rachel and Cameron joined in the fun.

Sterling discovered crawling thru the tunnel…oh so exciting!

Calvin up to bat.

Thursday we woke up to quite a surprise…with all the snow it felt more like Christmas than spring break!  What a bizzare storm.

Logan helping Ammon shovel all the snow…at least 6 inches.

A back yard view, oh the poor trees.  We only lost a few branches.

Calvin shoveling paths through the snow.

We spent most of the day inside.  Sterling and Bridget had a great time discovering under the table.  What fun to play peek a boo.

After dinner we did venture out and had a snow ball fight!  Dad versus everybody.

Friday was finally a spring like day.  We spent the afternoon at Hogle Zoo.  Sterling enjoyed being outside and Bridget really enjoyed seeing the animals.  I think the penguins were here favorite.

I got one picture before the giraffe stood back up…never knew how a giraffe “bent” down!

Our family.

It was fun to spend the afternoon at the zoo.  Fun to have Rachel, Brian, and Cameron there with us.

Happy times, fun memories!

Easter

We had a lot of fun on the last few days…coloring eggs on Friday, hunting eggs, eating candy, playing with cousins on Saturday.  This morning we got all dressed up in our Sunday best and went to Church.  It was a beautiful Easter Sunday, a time to reflect on Jesus Christ and the Resurrection.

I love my family.  Ammon watched the kids a bunch on Saturday so I could sew Bridget’s new dress!  It was really fun to sew, to create.  Today in church, I had my first solo…it went well and I am very glad it is over.

My Hero

My Grandpa, my hero passed away at the age of 97.  He was and is a great example of stalwart, faithful, hardworking, charitable, kind, generous…and the list goes on!
