The elementary school held its 3rd annual walk-a-thon. The boys really get into it…more running than walking, and plenty of water to keep them going!

Calvin went 36 laps=4 miles in the one hour time limit.

Logan was excited that he went 32 laps, the same number as on his shirt.

Kimball went an amazing 41 laps=over 4 1/2 miles. Way to run boys.

Sterling sat down and made an otter pop friend.

Otter pops for all at the end! Bridget and Sterling got 2! The walk a thon was in different groups…so we got to go in the morning to see the younger grades, and then after lunch to see Kimball run and help mark off lap cards.

Labor day weekend
The water is getting colder, the lake trips seem to have ended (at least for the swimming part), but we had one fun adventure over Labor day weekend at the lake. Chan, Breezy, and Gabel had some exciting rides on the viper. Logan was very brave and jumped off the front of the boat for the first time. Although a bit cool, the water felt relaxing compared to the rocking waves while the boat was stopped for lunch.
We had a little trouble at the beginning. We found “blue worms” actually a piece of blue rope in the engine. Thankfully Ammon got it right out and we were able to have a great outing.

April and Garrett Wedding
April and Garrett were married August 17 in the Provo Temple! It was a beautiful busy day. The kids did well, although Kimball does not like weddings (a bit long and boring for his taste).
The water and fountains at the temple were a big hit with the kids. Calvin enjoyed dancing at the reception. Sterling loved playing on the teeter totter. He also took great interest in the goldfish that were the table decorations. Bridget adored holding the bouquet whenever we were in photos. Logan and Kimball had fun with cousins on the big open field.
Disclaimer: not the best pics, some were even taken by Bridget…you do what helps make kids happy!

It’s a Baby!
Ultrasound today! We found out we are having one modest little baby. The ultrasound tech really tried…but to no avail, we will be surprised in 4 months when this little one is born!
Rowbury Reunion Part 2
The Rowbury reunion was 3 fun filled evenings and one full Saturday. Day 1: the rodeo. Day 2: the adults went to Desert Star Theater to see a comedy called “My Big Fat Utah Wedding.” Day 3: humanitarian kits service project and weenie roast at David and Heidi’s home. This is when I broke the good news that we are expecting! Day 4: Boating during the day. Dinner and rockets in the eve.
A very busy and very FUN weekend!
Rowbury Reunion
End of July we had a Rowbury Family Reunion. The kids got to experience their first rodeo. We all had a fun time and we all were tired from staying up so late. My favorite was Kimball’s comment walking back to the car. “That wasn’t a waste of time like I thought it was going to be!” Logan loved learning what the riders were trying to do to win. Sterling pointed at the horses and then pointed at himself and would say “horse, me.” The half time entertainment was a motorcycle show called “the wild child” the kids really thought it was exciting and funny.
Waiting for the tickets was hot and not very fun!
The rodeo was fun!
Birthday times 2
Back in July we had days of birthday parties. We celebrated Kimball’s 10th birthday early with pizza, doughnuts, and friends at the lake! Very fun.
We had a family party and mooncrater cake on monday his real birthday…very important to celebrate on the actual day ![]()
Dart tag! and watching a movie as a family…got pretty exciting and wild with darts flying during the movie.
Sterling’s 2nd birthday was July 20th! We had a choo choo cake and present time…what could be more fun than a lawnmower so he can be just like Dad?
Happy birthday boys. We love you!
Bridal Veil Falls
Warm day, cousins, water…what more could a kid want? We had a great time going to Bridal Veil Falls mid July with Driel and her girls.
Bridget was in the mood to pose for lots of pics when we got there!
The big boys were climbing, even up the falls further than I thought was safe!
It is hard to look at the camera when you have found the perfect rock!
Fun times…the only thing missing…we needed a towel and some lunch. Thanks to Driel, she saved the day. We went and spent the afternoon at her home.
