History

Yesterday was a big day in history…but my personal favorite part of history is my family, and Sterling made history!  He is 6 months old, busy, and BIG!  He has almost mastered sitting and is ready to join the big kids in playing and eating :)  What a cute happy baby.

Check out his adorable smile!

Sleep

Sterling slept through the night…and so did Bridget…and that means (Mom, me, Kathy) I got a full nights sleep!  Amazing!

Here’s to hoping for two nights in a row :)  I’m trying to be optimistic and positive…it is bound to bring about the best results!

Sledding

We have had two very fun sledding days, on Bridgets birthday and again on New Year’s day!

Originally, the boys were confused why we would go sledding…since we had our own snow slides…but they discovered the beauty of a long snow covered hill.  It was really fun to be with lots of family.  Bridget wanted to ride on the pizza sled (triangle shaped tube).  Kimball and Calvin had a good time wrestling with Uncle Evan in the snow.  I took Sterling down one time.  Logan was quite the wild little sledder.  Kimball, Logan, and Richard all went down together, very fast.  Here are a few pics!

Happy New Year

Calvin had the most exciting new year’s eve…he lost his first tooth.  The tooth was barely hanging on, but he did not want me to pull it.  We went to David and Heidi’s for a the new years eve party and aunt Heidi had the right touch, and pulled that tooth out without any troubles!

We had fun at the party, but did not make it to midnight.  We brought the kids home at 10 and still had an early morning Jan 1st…sweet Bridget was up before 6am, that makes for one tired mommy.

Birthday Girl

Bridget turned 3!  Last Monday (Dec. 29th) she had a very fun party with all the Rowbury cousins who were in town.

Here is the birthday girl in her Christmas dress from Grandma Diether.  Very Pretty!

Party time at Rowbury’s home!

Thank you Grandma Rowbury for the fun snowman cake!

White Christmas & more

We have seen so much snow, it was a very white Christmas!  On the 24th, Ammon built a snow slide in the back yard.  Calvin, Logan, and Bridget took a few turns down the slide.

We had an enjoyable Christmas eve dinner at Driel and Evan’s home, and got to participate in acting out the Nativity.  Calvin was a cute Joseph and Bridget was Mary.  Logan wanted to be a wiseman and Kimball chose to be King Herad.  It was a great production!  During the singing parts, “Joseph” would start dancing, too bad we don’t have that on camera!

Christmas morning was the one day this week that the kids slept past 7!  We woke up Ammon and Uncle Justin at 8 for present time.

Oh the pictures are endless…it was a very exciting morning.

After presents came the snow time.  Logan wanted to make a “ditch,” but to everyone else it looked more like a mountain or slide…but don’t be mistaken, Logan and Justin worked hard on clearing snow and the “ditch” project.

Happy Birthday Kathy…we had some sick kids over the past few days, but that didn’t stop the festivities.  We went out to dinner, mexican food, with George, Phyllis, Justin, Hyrum, Chandler, and Breezy Diether, and Evan, Driel, and Moriah Anderson.

Of course there was plenty of computer games going on.  Uncle Justin made 3 very happy boys, setting them up with endless World of Warcraft.

Sterling found great fun with Uncle Justin too.

But, Bridget did not think sharing the sunglasses was very fun :(

It was a wonderful week being with family, playing in the snow, relaxing from the daily routines, and enjoying Christmas!  Hope you all had a Very Merry Christmas too!

Chunkalicious

Sterling is now 5 months old.  He can “sit” just long enough for a quick picture.  He has some adorable chubber cheeks that are irresistible to kisses.  He is very chunkalicious!  We love him.

First Winter Storm

I know it is winter, Christmas just a few days away, but so long warm fall weather!  We welcomed the true winter weather this past week, much to the joyous delight of 3 young children!

Bridget shoveling and Calvin attempts to ride his bike…it didn’t work the snow was too deep.

Logan working hard…anything with a shovel is FUN work!

Oh, what a day

Last night we moved the old couches downstairs to the family room….and new couches were delivered today!  Rearranging was my big “to do today!”  This morning my plans got altered as we got bad news, Grandpa is in the hospital, and more bad news, Susann’s loss of twins.  We have had a full range of emotions today.

Anyway, Driel happened to stop by this morning shortly before the new couches arrived.  Thank you Driel for all your hard work.  She was so much help…between the two of us we got the family room all arranged and cleaned.  It is a great room now!  We also rearranged the living room.  It is so exciting to have beautiful new furniture.  I plan to get a new rug, but for now here are a few pics of the “new” rooms!

The fun family room!

and finally Sterling meeting his newest cousin, Ryan, two days old!

Thanksgiving Weekend

We had a wonderful weekend with family.  It was a long drive, the kids did great…Sterling was not too pleased about 6 hours in the carseat…but loved making it to Grandma and Grandpa’s home.  Besides a delicious feast on Thanksgiving day, here are some of the activities we enjoyed.  Thanks Driel, for posting lots of pics on your blog!

Shooting

It was too windy for Sterling, so some of us spent lots of time in the car.

It was fun to see Drew again.

Corrine with Sterling!

World of Warcraft Gamers.

Band time…Logan singing and playing the keyboard.

Good times, Great company, Fun memories…now we look forward to Christmas.  We put our lights up outside, so starts the the wonderful season of Christmas!

Four Months Old

Sterling is 4 months old.  He seems huge to us…and yet he is in the 25th percentile.  He saw the pediatrician on Friday, poor baby got shots and had a cold, he was miserable.  He now weighs 13 lbs 10 oz. and is 24 3/4 inches tall!

Thursday I had sisters over for lunch…thanks to all who came and finished putting the food together.  It was a fun time.  Laura and Heidi were taking the pictures and JulieAnn had to go back to work, otherwise this was our lunch bunch.
