Yesterday, Bridget was certain the computer was broken. Whenever anything is not working right she is sure it “needs new batteries.” She needed a tool and was going to “fix” the computer for us! What a great helper.

Memorial day
Yesterday was Memorial day. We had hoped to make it a day on the lake, but the rainy weather kept us home. Thank you to Driel and Evan, we had a fun BBQ in the evening. Thanks to Hyrum the kids spent some time at two different parks midday. During the park time and after the BBQ were the clearest times of the day…so the weather cooperated for some activities. Today Logan insisted on connecting 7 straws into one long straw. He was so proud of his ability to “drink from the mountain.” This afternoon, Bridget wanted to swim. I gave her a sled full of water. After countless efforts of keeping clothes or at least a diaper on, we went for the swimming suit! She was pretty cute.
School dance festival
Kimball’s class, along with all of the 2nd grade classes, danced to the song “Do You Love Me?” by the Contours. It was a chilly day and on the verge of rain, but the dance festival went on. The younger kids didn’t “love” being there until after the festival was over and we took a few minutes to play on the playground!

Sister’s picnic
Thanks to my sister Rachel, who organized a picnic in Lehi, UT for any of the siblings who could come while Susann and Frans were in town. Mom, Kathy, Susann, Rachel, Annette and April all made it! Kimball was at school, so Calvin was the oldest of the cousins down to the babies. It was lots of fun to play and a great time to visit!
Last Day of Preschool Pals
Calvin and Logan finished the year of preschool. The iris’s in the front yard were blooming and beautiful, which made a great backdrop for some happy kids. They both are fascinated with abc’s and writing. I am amazed how much they changed just over the last 2 months. Calvin loves to color spending long amounts of time getting things just right.
Happy Mother’s Day
Mother’s day turned out to be a beautiful Sunday. I got a haircut and bought a new maternity dress! Kimball made a “coupon” book at school and was so willing to help out with the specific jobs. Ammon did not have early morning Sunday meetings, so he was home to help with getting kids ready for church.
